Stud welding is the permanent connection of bolt-shaped elements such as boiler pins, shaft anchors or plate holders to more extensive components by arc welding. In boilers, these bolt-shaped elements form the links between the boiler tube and the refractory lining.
They are subject to high levels of stress, and must be replaced in the scope of boiler revision as necessary. Making good of pins – as well as pin revisions for the entire boiler – are performed quickly, precisely and expertly by Schweißtechnik Zimmermann GmbH.
